HELP SUPPORT OUR SPECIAL CAMPAIGNS
Foster the Future
Foster parents are special people. They open their hearts and homes to children in need of a safe, nurturing place to live. As part of our mission, YMCA of the Rockies gives foster families half-priced lodging and activities. We would like to give all foster kids and their families a chance to experience the natural beauty and fun of Snow Mountain Ranch and Estes Park Center.
Mission 623 provides a rejuvenating family experience through the YMCA of the Rockies’ Military Getaway Package, which is used by families who are facing deployment or reconnecting after returning home from active duty. The Military Getaway Package provides two nights of family bonding in our lodges at either center, six family meals shared together, and hundreds of free and affordable family activities on our property, all at a reduced rate.
G.R.A.C.E – Giving Respite and Comfort to Everyone – allows families affected by childhood cancer to reconnect, enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, and form lasting memories. The G.R.A.C.E. Program provides four nights of family bonding at either of our centers, all meals for five at our dining hall (dinner on the first day through breakfast on the last day), and a $150 gift certificate for fee-based activities – all at no cost to the family.
The Connect 50 Program gives single parent families the opportunity to spend restful time away together at YMCA of the Rockies. Connect 50 provides three nights in a lodge room with all meals included, along with a one-year YMCA of the Rockies membership – all at no cost to the family.
202 Days provides faith leaders with time for reflection and reconnection through the YMCA of the Rockies’ Faith Leader Getaway Package. This package, offered to compensated faith leaders, provides two nights of family bonding in our lodges, six family meals shared together, and hundreds of free and affordable family activities on our property, all at a reduced rate.
Where Nature Matters
Today youth spend more time than ever inside and connected to electronic devices. The average child in America spends only four to seven minutes a day in unstructured play, and over seven hours a day in front of a screen.
Nature Matters is YMCA of the Rockies’ initiative to connect today’s youth with the outdoors by providing free and discounted activities. Recent studies have shown that kids who spend time outdoors do better in school, are happier, more attentive and less anxious.
